Woodbury at Cretin-Derham Hall
7:15 p.m., Friday, Jan. 20

Woodbury and Cretin-Derham Hall are 5-0 in Suburban East Conference play and riding six-game winning streaks entering this week.

If the Royals can get past crosstown rival East Ridge on Tuesday, they’ll be in position to defend the top spot in the league standings when visiting the Raiders on Friday.

Jeremiah Coddon and D.J. Fleming have been suspended the past two weeks but could make their return in a crucial week for No. 20-4A Woodbury (9-3, 5-0). Michael Jones (23 ppg) has taken over the scoring reins in Coddon’s absence.

Cretin-Derham Hall went 2-4 in December, with losses No. 3-4A Lakeville North (82-74), No. 4-4A Wayzata (86-70), No. 5-4A Apple Valley (79-51) and No. 11-4A Park Center (64-61).

Coddon’s Howard Pulley teammate, Daniel Oturu, leads the state in blocks (50) and is tied with Community of Peace's Ontario Chapman as the top rebounder (183). Oturu averages 18.3 rebounds and five blocks per game and also leads the No. 17-4A Raiders (8-4, 5-0) at 17.2 ppg.
