St. Cloud Tech vs. Woodbury
7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 30

St. Cloud Tech is untested but could knock off a strong opponent with a victory in this matchup at the Granite City Classic in St. Cloud.

All-Central Lakes Conference selections Brevyn Spann-Ford and Trevor Koenig lead the Tigers (5-0) while James Kaczcor has emerged as another scoring threat for a team winning with defense. They have held their competition to an average of 37 ppg.

Woodbury survived an 87-80 double-overtime finish against No. 6-4A Chaska on Dec. 10, but the No. 10-4A Royals were overpowered by Rosemount’s towering twins Luke and Alec Loehr in a 73-64 loss on Dec. 13.

Woodbury (2-1) could fare better against St. Cloud Tech with defensive contributions from Nate Bursch, who’ll likely guard Brevyn Spann-Ford.

Michael Jones (25.3 ppg), Jeremiah Coddon (19 ppg) and Ike Thilgen (14 ppg) shoulder the Royals' scoring load.
