Alexandria at St. Cloud Apollo
7:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 15

After graduating eight seniors, St. Cloud Apollo fields an inexperienced lineup under first-year head coach Enoch Dix. The lone returning starter for the Eagles (2-1) is 6-foot-6, 240-pound center Luke Dunsmoor, a centerpiece on the defensive end. St. Cloud Apollo, however, must find regular contributors on offense to be a factor.

Alexandria has a trio of talented guards who have helped the No. 10-3A Cardinals dominate opponents -- winning each game by 25 or more points -- while starting 2-0.

Spencer Hockert posted a team-high 22 points and sophomore Trey Hoepner had 20 in his varsity debut as Alexandria defeated Moorhead 86-59 in the season opener on Dec. 2.

Jaran Roste was absent from the game against the Spuds, but the Division I football prospect posted a team-high 21 points in the Cardinals' 84-57 win over Little Falls last Friday.

Roste averaged 13.7 points, 4.6 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game last season.
