7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 13

Cretin-Derham Hall and Apple Valley are coming off close losses at Saturday’s Breakdown Sports Tip Off Classic, and both can reposition themselves among the state’s best with a bounceback win in Tuesday's matchup.

The Raiders took No. 2-4A Lakeville North to overtime before falling 82-74.

Despite the loss, No. 6-4A Cretin-Derham Hall (1-1) proved its budding rotation can compete with the state’s best. Jake Prince and Ryan Larson each tallied 18 points, while Daniel Oturo hung tough against Nathan Reuvers and chipped in 15. Sy Chatman contributed 12 points.

The No. 5-4A Eagles fought back from a sluggish start against No. 1-4A Champlin Park but were ultimately overwhelmed in a 91-84 loss.

Tre Jones continues to anchor Apple Valley (2-1) by averaging nearly a triple-double (26 ppg, 11 rpg and 9.3 apg), as the Eagles’ newcomers develop into their new roles.
