Battle Lake at Perham
7:15 p.m., Friday, Dec. 18

There's plenty of good basketball being played in Perham and Battle Lake, two towns sandwiched between Highway 10 and Interstate 94 in west-central Minnesota.

With both maintaining strong programs, the schools decided three years ago add a regular-season game to bolster their schedules, which is set for Friday this season.

The No. 3-1A Battlers have won the last two matchups with the Yellowjackets and are fresh off a 30-3 season in which they placed fourth at the Class 1A state tournament.

Perham finished 12-15 last season, snapping a streak of five seasons with 20 plus wins.

Both teams have rocketed to impressive starts this season and own undefeated records entering the week.

Battle Lake (5-0) has cruised in all its wins, while the Yellowjackets  4-0) have had just one close game, a 59-53 win over Class 3A Spring Lake Park in the season opener.
