Hastings at Hill-Murray
7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 17

Hastings can capture the first Metro East Conference title by avoiding a slip-up in one of its final two regular-season games, including a matchup at Hill-Murray on Feb. 17.

The No. 8-3A Pioneers (17-7, 9-5) are out of the league title race but could find some satisfaction in keeping the Raiders (19-4, 12-2) from winning the crown in the first year of the conference's existence while also avenging a 67-65 loss on Dec. 16.

Hastings must slow Hill-Murray's senior backcourt trio of Marshawn Wilson, Sam Westby and Jack Fahey, who combined for 59 points in the first game. Wilson (24.4 ppg), Westby (11.4 ppg), sophomore guard Simeon Davis (11.4 ppg) and Fahey (10.6 ppg) lead the Pioneers in scoring.

Senior guard Sam Skoyen (17.5 ppg) leads the Raiders' offense and scored 29 points in the victory over Hill-Murray. Senior forward Craig Nielson leads the frontcourt (15.6 ppg) in scoring, while senior guards Joe Dittrich (11.5 ppg) and Christian Brohner (9.4 ppg) solidify Hastings' backcourt.
