Barnum at Braham
7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 17

Barnum (No. 2-2A) joins Champlin Park as the state's second team chasing a perfect season. The Bombers need victories in their final three regular-season games to finish with an unblemished record.

Braham, however, is one team well-suited to stop Barnum's run.

The No. 5-2A Bombers (22-2) are one of the state's top scoring teams, averaging 86.3 ppg. But they also are solid on defense, limiting opponents to 52.9 ppg.

No. 2-2A Barnum (22-0), which allows 38.9 ppg while scoring 71.9 pgg, is led by senior Brandon Newman, who is the school's all-time leading scorer and surpassed 2,000 career points in January.

Newman and the Bombers must contend with Braham's high-scoring offense, one that was on display in an 86-67 win over Rush City on Feb. 13.

Chris Olson finished with 26 points, John Larson had 21 and Ryan Larson added 18.

The teams haven't faced off for more than a year as Barnum defeated Braham 71-48 in the 2013-14 season opener.
