Maple Grove at Robbinsdale Armstrong
7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 17

A well-balanced and deep Maple Grove team has a firm grip on the Northwestern Suburban Conference's West Division heading into the final week of the regular season.

Robbinsdale Armstrong is just one game behind in the standings and can loosen the Crimson's hold with a victory on Feb. 17.

Offensive balance has been the key to both teams' success.

No. 3-4A Maple Grove (20-3, 10-0) has six players who average at least 8.6 point per game, led by sophomores Brad Davison (15 ppg) and Tywhon Pickford (12.6 ppg).

Senior forwards Sean Burns (15.5 ppg) and Evan Nolan (11.6 ppg) lead a group of five players averaging more than 7.7 ppg for Robbinsdale Armstrong (19-5, 9-1).

The Crimson's defense, however, got the better of the Falcons in the last meeting. Maple Grove did not allow any Robbinsdale Armstrong players to score in double figures en route to a  66-52 victory on Dec. 19.

Davison finished with 20 points and Reed Nikko added 14 in the victory.
