Kimball at Maple Lake
7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 10

Maple Lake has lost just one game (68-64 loss to Eden Valley-Watkins on Dec. 5) and are on a 17-game winning streak. Despite the superb season, the No. 7-2A Irish (20-1, 10-1) have not clinched the Central Minnesota Conference title. Eden Valley-Watkins (17-3, 9-2) sits just one game behind the Irish, and Kimball (14-5, 8-3) is two games back.

Maple Lake would be in a good position to close out the season atop the conference standings with a win over Kimball on Feb. 10, but the Cubs are unlikely to roll over in the matchup.

Kimball is 6-1 in its last seven games, including a 69-59 victory over Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted on Feb. 5. Senior guard Joey VonWahlde recorded 21 points and eight rebounds and senior center Jarred Merchant finished with 17 points and 14 rebounds for the Cubs. Junior guard Dunkin Westrich had 11 points in the victory.

Maple Lake's success is predicated on great performances from senior guards David Stokman and Andrew Schonnesen, who combined for 39 points in a 66-49 win over Foley on Feb. 3.
