Rochester John Marshall (17-5) faces a steep climb in its quest to win the Big 9 Conference.

The Rockets (17-5, 15-3) are one game behind No. 3-3A Red Wing (19-3, 16-2) in the league standings and their four remaining games are against conference teams with winning records, including the season finale on the road against the Wingers.

However, Rochester John Marshall hosts the other three games, including a matchup with Northfield (14-8, 11-7) on Feb. 13., and are 7-2 at home this season.

The Rockets defeated the Raiders 88-78 on Jan. 6 in a game that had nine double-digit scorers. Junior forward Michael Hurt, Rochester John Marshall's leading scorer (22.3 ppg) and a Minnesota commit, scored a game-high 34 points, while junior guard Josh Mattison added 15 and sophomore guard Isaiah Walden finished with 14. Eighth-grade forward Matthew Hurt finished with 11 points.

Junior forward Luke Harris led Northfield with 25 points. Senior guard Mitar Petrovic finished with 13 points, and junior forward Hunter Koep had 12, while junior center Chris Antoine and senior guard Joseph Eckhoff scored 10 apiece.

The Raiders are 6-4 on the road this season.
