New Prague at Orono
7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 6

The top spot in the Wright County Conference East Division is on the line when New Prague (5-1) travels to Orono (5-1).

The Trojans and Spartans are tied atop the league standings, but New Prague has already defeated Orono this season, winning 57-54 on Jan. 13.

The victory was one of six in a row for Trojans (12-7), who had their streak snapped in a 78-63 loss at Waconia on Jan. 27. New Prague bounced back with a 68-63 victory over Holy Family on Jan. 30.

No. 5-3A Orono (16-4) enters the week on a five-game winning streak, a run that started after the loss to the Trojans.

New Prague's game-winning strategy included limiting Sam Sustacek, Orono's second-leading scorer at 12.7 ppg. The junior forward scored just four points. The Trojans, however, could not stop Spartans' leading scorer Cole Hennings (18.8 ppg), as the senior guard finished with 18 points.

Seniors James Fuerniss (13.8 ppg) and Malik Jallah (10.3 ppg), and junior Austin Greenwalt (10.8 ppg) are the Trojans' top scorers. The trio combined for 30 of New Prague's 57 points in the victory over Orono.
