Central Minnesota Christian at Dawson-Boyd
7:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 29

There's nothing like a good, old-fashioned rematch between rivals, and that is what takes place on Jan. 29 as Central Minnesota Christian heads to Dawson-Boyd for a Camden Conference North Division showdown. Fans of the Bluejays and the Blackjacks have been anticipating this matchup since Dec. 23, when Central Minnesota Christian edged Dawson-Boyd 57-56 to take over the top spot in the division standings.

The Bluejays have continued to impress this season. As the only undefeated team in Class 1A, Central Minnesota Christian (15-0, 5-0) has jumped to No. 5 in the state rankings.

If the Blackjacks (14-4, 4-1) hope to return the favor to the Bluejays, they need to find an answer for senior forward Austin Bulthuis, who scored 20 points on 10-for-17 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds in the first meeting. Sophomore guard Matthew VanEps added 11 points and junior guard Taylor Slagter had 10 points for Central Minnesota Christian in the victory.

There is little doubt who the Bluejays need to key on defensively, as Dawson-Boyd's Michael Lee continues to light up the scoreboard. The senior forward has scored 30 or more points in at least games this season, showing he's capable of taking over offensively.
