Breck bounced back from last season's sub-.500 record, entering the week 13-3 and ranked No. 8 in Class 2A. Two of the Mustangs' losses are to Class 4A teams (No. 4 Minnetonka and Mahtomedi).

Breck is also 3-0 in league play and has a matchup with Independent Metro Athletic Conference rival Minnehaha Academy on Friday.

Minnehaha Academy must also slow senior guard Mo Lawal (18.4 ppg) and senior forward Henry Cousineau (12.6 ppg).

The Redhawks are paced by freshman forward JaVonni Bickham, who leads the team in scoring (16.2 ppg), and seventh-grade guard Jalen Suggs (11 ppg).

Minnehaha Academy edged Breck 68-65 in their matchup last season.
