Edina at Eden Prairie
7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 23

Eden Prairie returns to its home court ready to rebound from a rough week.

The previously undefeated Eagles recorded their first two losses last week, falling at No. 1-3A DeLaSalle 66-58 on Jan. 13 and at Lake Conference rival Hopkins 75-67 on Jan. 16.

No. 3-4A Eden Prairie has two home games this week, including a conference matchup with Edina on Friday.

The Hornets enter the matchup 0-3 in league play. Edina, however, is playing well against teams from outside the conference, where it has a 12-1 record. The Hornets won each of their last three games by at least 18 points, including a 91-59 victory at Woodbury on Jan. 17.

Edina has five players averaging double figures in scoring, including sophomore guard Walt McGrory (16.5 ppg) and senior center Max Lynch (14.0 ppg).

Senior guard Grantham Gillard leads Eden Prairie in scoring at 19.3 points per game, while his backcourt teammate, Blake Cashman, fought through an ankle injury to score 39 total points in the last three games and provides excellent defense.
