Champlin Park at Osseo
7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 16

Champlin Park suits up for a Northwest Suburban Conference cross-division road game with Osseo on Dec. 16.

Recent matchups have gone the Orioles way. Osseo handed the Rebels two of their three losses last season, including a 72-67 overtime defeat in the Class 4A, Section 5 championship game.

Champlin Park seems primped for another run to the section final. The Rebels (7-0, 4-0) are ranked No. 3 in Class 4A and recorded an impressive 65-62 victory over No. 2-4A Cretin-Derham Hall at the Breakdown Sports Tip Off Classic on Dec. 13.

You can bet Champlin Park coach Mark Tuchscherer will have the Rebels ready to play Osseo despite the Orioles' 3-3 record.

Osseo's season has been a bit of a roller coaster ride. The Orioles stuck with No. 4-4A Robbinsdale Armstrong in a 61-60 defeat, but lost at Moorhead 86-71 on Dec. 13.

Senior guard J.T. Gibson leads Champlin Park with a 17.6 points-per-game average. Senior guards Marty Hill (15.4 ppg) and Jeremy Johnson (12.7 ppg), along with sophomore guard McKinley Wright (12.7 ppg) and sophomore forward Theo John (9.3 ppg) round out the Rebels' balanced scoring attack.

Junior guard Allan Anderson (12.8 ppg) and junior forward Kameron Bettie (12.5 ppg) are carrying the scoring load for Osseo.
