Winona at Mankato West

Winona opened the season with losses to Red Wing and Austin and will be looking for its first win when it heads to Mankato for a Big 9 Conference doubleheader late in the week. 

A game with Mankato East on Friday is the primer for the Winhawks, who face No. 7-3A Mankato West on Saturday. 

Winona enters the matchup with seven seniors who have defeated the Scarlets as the Winhawks split the regular-season series with West last year.

The Scarlets have experienced players such as Jake Dale and Alex Goetti back this season after the team finished 18-9 in 2013-14.
