Bloomington Kennedy at East Ridge
7:15 p.m., Friday, Dec. 5

East Ridge entered the season with high hopes it could build off last season, when the program finished with 23 wins - the most in school history.

The No. 9-4A Raptors are 1-1 after a 78-55 victory over Minneapolis Southwest on Nov. 25 and a 67-59 loss to Shakopee on Nov. 29.

East Ridge had five players score at least eight points against the Sabers, including Colin Masgai who led the team with 14 points. Sid Thomes finished with 13 points and Seth Green added 12.

Defense, however, could be key when the Raptors welcome Bloomington Kennedy (1-2) on Friday.

Tyson Chase is the Eagles' leading scorer (26.0 points per game) and exploded for 33 points, including six 3-pointers, in an 86-79 win over Benilde-St. Margaret's on Nov. 29. Bloomington Kennedy also has three other players averaging double-digit scoring: Markel Aune (18.0 ppg), Ben Murphy (14.0 ppg) and Darius Bell (11.0 ppg).
