Rosemount and Bloomington Jefferson are hoping for a better finish than last year, when both posted 15-13 records.

The Irish (0-2) are off to a tough start after falling to Minnetonka 71-57 on Nov. 25 and losing to Eden Prairie 80-51 on Nov. 29.

All is not terrible for Rosemount. The Irish's top three scorers have double-digit averages: Tyler Hartigan (13.0 points per game), Jack Kessler (12.0 ppg) and Kyle Kaupa (11.5 ppg). 

Bloomington Jefferson (1-0) recorded a 24-point win against Glencoe-Silver Lake in the opener on Nov. 29.

Eric Rasmussen finished with 21 points to lead the Jaguars in the victory. Tom Gathjue added 14 points, and Doug Scherber scored 12.

Rosemount and Jefferson split the season series last year, with the Irish winning 60-53 in the first meeting and the Jaguars taking the second 66-57.
