Delano vs. St. Cloud Apollo at Monticello

These Class 3A, Section 5 teams square off in the Monticello Shootout on Friday. Delano (2-0) plays St. Cloud Apollo in the Eagles' season opener. Both teams are looking to take a step forward after falling in the section playoffs.

Delano senior guard Sean Campbell had 20 points in each of the Tigers' victories, while sophomore center Nick Cayler scored nine points in a 61-48 win over St. Anthony on Nov. 21 and had 16 in a 63-61 win at Fridley on Nov. 22.

Apollo has some athleticism in its front court with 6-foot-5 forward Ethan Novacinski.

Delano defeated Apollo 61-53 in last year's regular-season meeting.
