New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva 64, Blue Earth Area 30. The No. 9-2A Panthers knocked off Blue Earth Area in the Round of 16 of the Section 2, Class 2A tournament. Benji Lundberg scored 16 points to lead New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva to victory. Tyler Raimann added 13 points and Chad Agrimson contributed 12. Blake Barnett led Blue Earth Area with 8 points. The Panthers will battle Maple River in the section quarterfinals.

Belle Plaine 70, Norwood Young America 69. The Tigers squeaked out a 70-69 overtime victory to advance to the quarterfinals of the Section 2, Class 2A tournament. Nathan Herman led the Tigers with 25 points while Noah Hastings and Brody Curtiss chipped in 19 apiece. Carter Clemensen led the way for Norwood with 17 points. Belle Plaine will next face Jordan on Thursday at New Prague.

Tri-City United 78, Sibley East 75.  Tri-City narrowly edged Sibley East in an overtime road victory to move into the quarterfinals of the Section 2, Class 2A tournament. Devon Jacobson led the way with 25 points in the win. He was helped by 19 points from Zach Sexe and 10 points from Kyle Hintz. Devon Schultz scored 20 points to pace Sibley East while Connor Kranz and Gavin Bates threw in 15 apiece. Tri-City United will meet Glencoe-Silver Lake in the next round.

Glencoe-Silver Lake 73, Saint Peter 64. Glencoe-Silver Lake moves into a quarterfinal bout against Tri-City United with their win Monday night in the Round of 16 of the Section 2, Class 2A tournament. Luke Frahm led the Panthers to victory by scoring a game-high 24 points. Ben Donnay also had 13 points for Glencoe-Silver Lake. Jordein Marquette paced St. Peter with 17 points and Wyatt Olson was right behind him with 16 of his own.

Mayer Lutheran 62, Lester Prairie/Holy Trinity 55. The Crusaders defended their home court, downing the Bulldogs and advancing to the quarterfinals of the Section 2, Class A tournament. Baden Noennig topped Mayer Lutheran in the victory, scoring 17 points. His teammates McHayl Diedrick and Garrett Tjernagel contributed 14 and 13 points, respectively. Michael Ziermann led Lester Prairie/Holy Trinity with 26 points in defeat and Rees Schuette added 18. Mayer Lutheran will draw Cleveland in the section quarterfinals.

Jordan 71, Le Seur-Henderson 46. Jordan held Le Seur-Henderson to 13 points in the first half en route to the 25-point win in the first round of the Section 2, Class 2A tournament. Duluth-bound senior Jimmy Vollbrecht poured in 30 points for Jordan. His teammate Eric Tiedman added 19 points. Connor Arnold topped Le Seur-Henderson with 12 points. Thanks to its lockdown defense, Jordan will advance to face Belle Plaine on Thursday.
