Bloomington Kennedy looks to continue its resurgence this season by dealing cooling a red-hot Jordan team.
After going winless last season and opening this year with a loss to Brooklyn Center, Bloomington Kennedy finally found a victory. Under first-year coach Raheem Simmons, the Eagles have bounced back behind an aggressive defense that resulted in four straight wins in early December.
But Kennedy (4-4) has struggled as of late, with three consecutive losses. However, a road win against a Jordan team that’s off to its best start this decade could be the push the Eagles need to go on another winning run.
Defeating the Hubmen won't be easy. Jordan (7-0, 2-0) allows just 54 points per game and showed it can handle adversity, most recently by overcoming a six-point halftime deficit to defeat Montevideo 63-60 in the Marshall Tournament on Dec. 29.
Both teams have much to prove, with Jordan looking to maintain its red-hot start and Kennedy aiming to get back to its winning ways, making Saturday’s matinee our Top Game of the Week.
