For a winless team Lakeville South didn’t look the part Saturday against Eden Prairie at Hopkins High School in the Breakdown Sports Tip Off Classic.
Thanks to 11 three-pointers the Cougars are no longer winless after beating the Eagles 82-71.
Jack Sorenson and Shae Mitchell each finished with 18 points to lead Lakeville South (1-2). Cade Carlson added 15 while Evan Fielder and Beau Bailey reached double figures, scoring 10 points each.
The Cougars jumped out to a 14-point halftime lead behind their sharp shooting and it carried over into the second half as well.
Will Pahl scored a game-high 21 points for Eden Prairie (2-1). Owen Chose knocked down five three-pointers and finished with 19 points. Drake Dobbs scored 10 points in the second half and finished with 12 in the game.
