Hopkins rolled past Rochester John Marshall 96-62 Saturday with six players reaching double figures in scoring at Hopkins High School in the Breakdown Sports Tip Off Classic.
Ishmael El-Amin, a Ball State recruit, led the Royals with 22 points. Hopkins (3-0) also had Simon Wright, an Elon recruit, score 16. Anthony Davis (13), Zeke Nnaji (12), Joe Hedstrom (12) and Blaise Beauchamp also scored in double figures in the victory.
Sophomore Matthew Hurt scored 30 points for the Rockets (1-2) including his 1,000th career point in the loss. Dedoch Chan added 15 points and Isaiah Walden finished with 10.
Hopkins led 46-26 at halftime and kept rolling in the second half.
