Cougars coming off 20-victory season

Riley West will play an integral role for the Lakeville South boys’ basketball team this winter. The senior is the starting point guard and directs the offense for the Cougars, who are coming off a 20-victory season. Here is a closer look at West:

The best movie you’ve seen in the past year? “The Hangover.”

Three songs I never skip on my iPod are: “The Show Goes On” by Lupe Fiasco;  “Cinderella Man” by Eminem;  “Lying From You” by Linkin Park.

Three words or phrases that friends or teammates might use to describe you: Competitive, funny, intense.

Favorite pregame meal: Chicken strips and corn dogs.

With the holiday season approaching, what is the most memorable Christmas gift you have received and why? My Xbox 360 because I love video games.

What is on your Christmas list this year? “Call of Duty: Black Ops” and a scholarship offer!

How do you balance school and sports during the year? I try and get everything done in school.

Who is your school’s biggest rival and why? Lakeville North, the crosstown rivals, and they are the enemy!

Do you have a secret talent — and if so, what is it?  My brother and I harmonize well … but no one will ever hear it.

In 10 years, I hope I’m …? Coaching basketball.

What is the best sports advice you ever received? If you think you can or if you think you can’t ... you’re right!
