DeLaSalle didn't win three consecutive state Class 3A championships by coasting through the regular season.
Each year, the Islanders schedule several of the state's top Class 4A teams to become battle-tested in preparation for the postseason.
DeLaSalle (11-2), ranked No. 1 in Class 3A by Minnesota Basketball News, has already faced No. 2-4A Apple Valley (an 83-69 loss) and No. 7-4A Eden Prairie (a 66-58 victory) this year.
The next Class 4A opponent for the Islanders is No. 4 Robbinsdale Armstrong (14-2) in our Top Game of the Week.
The Falcons offer top-flight competition and enter the week with a 14-2 record.
Robbinsdale Armstrong's two losses have been to No. 1-4A Champlin Park (64-61) and No. 3-4A Maple Grove (66-52), and the Falcons will certainly be focused on making a statement with a defeat of DeLaSalle.
