Coach Joe Wasfaret begins his third season as the head coach at TRF. He has a lifetime record of 40-15 while in charge there. The Prowlers will be expected to be an excellent squad this season.

Players returning from last season’s 20-7 squad include: Jacob Joppru, a 6’2 senior, who brings back a 17.5ppg average. Grant Stewart, a 6’1 SR, who is the point guard on the squad. That’s always a good spot to have filled by experience. Lastly some bulk is needed and this is where TyJuan Brown comes in. The 6’3 SR plays physical and does a lot of things well.

The Prowlers like to push the ball up the court and are quite athletic across their whole roster. They’ll be a little on the short side for height, but the goal to contend for a section title will not be going away due to that.

Games to look forward to for TRF, who doesn’t belong to a conference, are against Section 8AAA foes like Detroit Lakes, Albany, Fergus Falls, & Sartell. There is also a game vs Mounds View that Coach Wasfaret mentions the team looking forward to playing. Detroit Lakes & Albany are the top two teams mentioned as Section favorites early.

Joppru is nearing the 1000 point plateau. Former MN Gopher Kyle Sanden is the schools all-time leading scorer. Look for this TRF squad to be able to put up points this season. They’ll be ready to go beginning November 10th.
