Feb. 3: DeLaSalle at Cretin-Derham Hall matchup highlights our top games of the week

It feels as if DeLaSalle is a sleeping giant, awaiting its time to come to life and roar through the boys’ basketball scene. And if past history is any indication, that time will be the upcoming playoffs. The two-time defending Class 3A champions have been slumbering while star forward Reid Travis recovered from a foot injury suffered over the summer. But since he’s returned, they’ve begun to rumble.

Meanwhile, Cretin-Derham Hall has been filling up the score sheet all season en route to a top-10 Class 4A ranking. The Raiders are fun to watch with an up tempo and athletic style, so it should be no surprise that a meeting of the powers is our top game of the week of Feb. 3-9, 2014.
