Four games featuring top high school recruits from Minnesota, three states

High school basketball fans can see some of the nation's top Division 1 recruits, including two juniors from Minnesota going head-to-head, at the Timberwolves Shootout on Saturday at Target Center

Four games: Five top teams in Minnesota and one each from Kansas, Wisconsin and Iowa.

First and last: The opening game features Anders Broman of Lakeview Christian, who recently became Minnesota's all-time leading scorer with more than 4,000 points. The last game, Apple Valley vs. Robbinsdale Cooper, matches up top junior recruits Tyus Jones and Rashad Vaughan.

Out-of-state sizzle: Onalaska is the defending Division II champion in Wisconsin. Blue Valley Northwest has been a state runnerup in Kansas for three consecutive years.

Schedule: 9 a.m. Lakeview Christian vs. Onalaska (Wis.)

11 a.m. DeLaSalle vs. Blue Valley Northwest (Kan.)

1 p.m. Roseville vs. West Des Moines Valley (Iowa)

3 p.m. Apple Valley vs. Robbinsdale Cooper

Tickets: $15, good for all four games and a free ticket to the Timberwolves game against Portland at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Prominent alums: Twenty-four players from the 16 previous years' games have gone on to NBA careers, including Minnesota's Kevin Love and all-star Josh Smith.
