Chuck Tolo lashed out at the Duluth school district and the Woodland Hills facility for at-risk youth

MINNEAPOLIS — Time and time again, Chuck Tolo ran up and down the Target Center sideline and screamed encouragement to his players until he was red in the face during Duluth East’s state tournament game Wednesday.

But the Greyhounds boys basketball coach waited until after the 62-51 loss to Osseo in the Class 4A quarterfinals to get really worked up.

Denied an answer as to whether 7-foot center Akolda Manyang’s appeal of a Minnesota State High School League rules violation was successful, Tolo lashed out at the Duluth school district and the Woodland Hills facility for at-risk youth, where Manyang has lived since being placed there for felonies committed in 2009 and 2010 while in Rochester.
