Prairie Seeds Academy has added to the charter school dominance of the high school boys' basketball state single-game scoring record.
The Lycans broke Minnesota Transitions' single-game scoring mark in a 165-37 victory over host Math & Science Academy on Friday night in Woodbury. Minnesota Transitions set the previous mark in a 156-33 victory over E.C.H.O. Charter on Dec. 8, 2007.
Charter schools now own the top six highest scoring games in state history, four of which are by Minnesota Transitions, which twice scored over 100 points in a half.
Prairie Seeds built a 91-19 lead at halftime. The Lycans only had seven players score on the night; five of those had at least 20 points.
