No. 6 Osseo at Elk River
7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14

Considered a state championship contender at season’s start, Osseo looks to be rolling into mid-January with five straight victories. The Orioles are balanced, with double-double machine Ian Theisen in the middle, Wheeler Baker scoring from the wing and Jordan Dembley, a transfer from Holy Angels, anchoring the back court. The Orioles are a great test for an inexperienced Elk River team that has surprised by winning nine of its first 12 games. What hasn’t been a surprise is the play of senior forward Clay Elrod, who can play both inside and out.
