No. 4 Champlin Park at Park Center
7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14
MN Basketball Hub Spotlight Game

This isn’t the same Park Center team that handed Apple Valley its only loss last winter and threatened the Eagles in the state Class 4A championship game before falling. Gone is Mr. Basketball Quinton Hooker and other top seniors, but a new guard of Pirates is rising, led by Isaac Mathews, Isaiah McKay, Arione Farrar and Quinton’s younger brother, sophomore Amani Hooker. All four are averaging in double-figure scoring, and Hooker is coming off a career-high 24 in a loss at Blaine. Champlin Park enters on a 12-game winning streak, including impressive wins over Osseo and Roseville. The Rebels are balanced offensively, as well, as five players average double figures, paced by Brennan Witt (17.4 ppg).
