Hillcrest Lutheran vs. Red Lake
2:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 14

Hillcrest Lutheran Academy (7-0, 3-0) has a chance to strengthen its postseason credentials and prepare for the playoffs when visiting Red Lake for a game likely to be the toughest test of the regular season for the No. 7-1A Comets.

Kyler Newman is Hillcrest Lutheran's top marksman, averaging 25.3 points per game, and must convert often to counter a Warriors' offense that has scored 80 or more points in 75 percent of its games this season.

Jamie Cook is averaging a team-high 19.8 ppg for No. 2-1A Red Lake (11-1, 7-0). The Warriors' only blemish is a 78-70 loss on Dec. 29 to No. 1-1A Minneapolis North, the defending Class 1A state champion.
