Tartan at Mahtomedi
7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 13
Tartan recently cracked the Class 4A Top 10 after piecing together nine straight wins with an average margin of victory of 23 points.
The run has the No. 10-4A Titans (9-0, 2-0) sitting atop the Metro East Conference standings and aiming to repeat as league champions, a goal they can take a step closer to achieving with a win over conference rival No. 7-3A Mahtomedi.
Jordan Horn has led Tartan this season and the Siena (N.Y.) commit posted a career-high 32 points in a 92-56 win over Henry Sibley last Friday.
The Zephyrs (9-1, 2-0) dropped their first game of the season after giving up a buzzer-beater to Columbia Heights in a 55-53 loss last Thursday. Expect Mahtomedi to be motivated to start another string of wins behind Northern State commit Parker Fox (23 ppg).
