St. Peter at Waseca
7:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 5

St. Peter and Waseca are keeping pace with No. 5-3A Marshall in the Big South Conference standings, as all three are unbeaten in league play. There will be some separation after Thursday's showdown.

The Saints (5-2, 2-0) are on a two-game skid after poor shooting performances against Jordan (68-49) and Kasson-Mantorville (66-47).

Leading scorer Jordein Marquette suffered a strained Achilles tendon in the first half against Kasson-Mantorville and may be missing against the Bluejays.

Balanced scoring has helped Waseca (9-0, 2-0) average 76 points per game, five more than St. Peter's season high of 71, and the Saints must employ a smothering defense against a Bluejay's team led by 6-foot-7 center Jake Guse.
