Rochester John Marshall at Hopkins
3:45 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10

Both teams were featured in separate games in the boys’ slate of last Saturday's Breakdown Sports Girls' Tip Off Classic, and both likely did some scouting for the meeting this Saturday.

Rochester John Marshall fell victim to an offensive clinic put on by No. 1-4A Champlin Park in 113-74 victory. Matthew Hurt faced double and triple coverage but managed 24 points for the Rockets (0-1).

Ishmael El-Amin’s 18 second-half scoring spurt helped No. 3-4A Hopkins (1-0) overcome a sluggish start in its 85-77 win against Cedar Falls (Iowa). He finished the game with 32 points.

But the Royals defense wasn't in top form as they struggled to contain the Tigers' A.J. Green, who scored a game-high 42 points.

Hurt won’t be able to cut to the basket like Green, but his shooting versatility and rebounding could create different problems for Hopkins.
