Red Lake vs. Fosston
6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3

The premiere game of the Homark Homes Hardwood Showcase in Bemidji is a rematch of last year’s Class 1A, Section 8 semifinals in which Red Lake surged to a 73-57 victory against Fosston.

The teams also met in the regular season, with the Warriors defeating the Greyhounds 66-57.

Rob McClain proved to be a difference-maker all season as the 6-foot-4 guard averaged a double-double (15 ppg, 12 rpg) to help Red Lake advance to its third consecutive state tournament, where the Warriors made their deepest run, taking fourth and finishing with a 27-6 overall record.

McClain and Will Morrison earned all-tournament honors last year and the duo leads a group of nine seniors who should continue to produce a balanced scoring attack for the No. 2-1A Warriors.

Jesse Sather returns for his senior year as the leading scorer on a Greyhounds team that went 19-10 last season.

Six-foot-5 sophomore Karsten Broadley has the frame to fill a void at center for Fosston and could make major progress in his second varsity season.
