Rochester John Marshall vs. Champlin Park
5:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3

Champlin Park holds the top spot in the Class 4A preseason poll and will get to prove itself in the first weekend of the Breakdown Sports Tip Off Classic when Rochester John Marshall makes its first of two trips to the Lindberg Center in Hopkins.

Future Dayton guard McKinley Wright (19.5 ppg) and 6-foot-9 Marquette-bound power forward Theo John (14 ppg) are one of the state's best duos and will be called upon to counter Rochester John Marshall's veteran lineup that includes Matthew Hurt.

The sophomore is on the watch list for Naismith High School Boys’ Player of the Year award after averaging 18.7 ppg, 8.4 rpg and totaled 91 blocks for the Rockets in his third varsity season.

Hurt will likely assume the lion's share of scoring role on offense once garnered by his brother Michael, who is now playing for Minnesota, but Rochester John Marshall returns starters in Isaiah Walden, Dedon Chan and Ray Adams to give the Rockets plenty of experience.
