Fergus Falls at Alexandria
7:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 28

After recording a 72-54 loss to Fergus Falls on Dec. 11, Alexandria has bounced back to play some of its best basketball with seven victories in its last eight games.

Fergus Falls hasn't fared as well. After opening the season with 12 straight wins, the Otters enter the week on a bit of a slump after losing of two of their last four.

The Cardinals (11-5, 5-4) hope to stay red-hot against Central Lakes Conference leader Fergus Falls (15-2, 7-2) this Thursday.

Alexandria is tied for third in the league standings, and the Cardinals need a victory on Thursday to stay in the conference title chase.

To win, however, they must improve on the defensive end after allowing the Otters to shoot a blazing 59 percent from the field and giving up a game-high 24 points to sophomore guard Nathan Rund in the first matchup.
