After finishing eighth out of nine teams in the Suburban East Conference standings last season, Woodbury (14-2, 7-1) has emerged as a contender for the league title.

The Royals look to earn a season split with current league leader and defending conference champion Cretin-Derham Hall (13-2, 8-0) in a home game on Friday.

The Raiders, who eked out a 69-67 home victory in the first meeting, face a Woodbury team entering the week on a 10-game winning streak.

The Royals are the league's highest-scoring team at 79 ppg and paced by junior guard Jeremiah Coddon (17.1 ppg), who scored 19 points in the loss on Dec. 8.

Sophomore Daniel Oturu (16.1 ppg) and senior Jordan Ammons (12.3 ppg) lead Cretin-Derham Hall.
