Chaska at St. Louis Park
7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 22

The Metro West Conference is shaping up to be a five-team race. With each team having played five league games, Chaska, St. Louis Park and Robbinsdale Cooper are tied for first place while Benilde-St. Margaret's and Bloomington Jefferson are a game back in second.

That means this week will be an important one for Chaska (12-4, 4-1), which looks to emerge as the front-runner after meetings with Cooper on Tuesday and St. Louis Park on Friday.

The Hawks' test against the Orioles (12-4, 4-1) should be a challenging one as St. Louis Park boasts a lineup that features four players averaging double figures in scoring, led by senior guard Ray Whitlock (13.4 ppg) and sophomore guard Cire Mayfield (12.3 ppg).

Chaska counters with one of the state's top scorers in junior forward Myles Hanson (22.6 ppg).
