St. Louis Park at Bloomington Jefferson
7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 5

St. Louis Park has turned some heads early this season after already matching the nine wins it accumulated last season.

Next up for the Orioles (9-3, 1-0) is a road game against Bloomington Jefferson (6-5, 0-1), which won both Metro West Conference meetings between the teams last season.

The Jaguars are coming off a season in which they finished two games out of first place in the league standings. They also have two solid scoring options this year in juniors Tyler Riemersma (14.2 ppg) and Joe Hird (14.1 ppg).

Jefferson, however, may have to work hard on defense to defeat an Orioles team that is finding success behind a plethora of scorers.

Sophomore guard Cire Mayfield (12.8 ppg) leads a pack of six players who all average more than eight points per game.
