Rogers at Chisago Lakes
7:15 p.m., Friday, Jan. 8

The Mississippi 8 Conference schedule really heats up entering the new year, and no matchup may burn brighter this week than the one between Rogers (6-5, 1-0) and Chisago Lakes (7-5, 1-1).

Each placed second in its respective division last year (the Royals in the West, the Wildcats in the East), but a change in format has all teams playing in one league this season.

Rogers has already proven it can play with quality teams, recording a 90-87 loss to No. 1-1A Minneapolis North at the Granite City Classic on Dec. 29, and part of the Royals' success is due their senior scoring duo of guard Allen Wilson (18.7 ppg) and forward Steffan Musoke (15.1 ppg).

Chisago Lakes split its two games with Rogers last year, winning the first 79-71 and losing the second 68-61.
