Melrose at Albany
7:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 18

While Melrose brings back its top four scorers - Drake Meyer, Tyler Braegelmann, Dillon Haider and Colton Meyer - from last season's state tournament run, only time will tell if Dutchmen coach Ryan Dusha and his talented core can repeat as section champions in March.

Mike Sieben takes over the Albany program, inheriting a skilled squad that gave eventual state champion DeLaSalle its toughest game of the Class 3A tournament last year. The group includes senior guard Kyle Birr, who is the team's top returning scorer and is averaging 24.8 points per game this season.

The Huskies have won the past two meetings, but the Dutchmen won both games three years ago, including a victory that knocked Albany out of the postseason.
