Browerville/Eagle Valley vs. Waseca at Minnetonka High School

With a majority of its varsity squad back this season, Browerville/Eagle Valley may be sitting on the doorstep of its first Class 1A state tournament appearance since 2012.

In an effort to become playoff-ready, the Tigers have bolstered their schedule, including a meeting with Waseca, a Class 3A team that won 23 games last year and is 6-0 in this season.

The Bluejays have taken care of business behind talented senior guard Nick Dufault, who could give the No. 7-1A Tigers trouble. Dufault's skill was on display as he erupted for 44 points in Waseca's 76-55 win over Fairmont last week.

Browerville/Eagle Valley leans on junior guard Bryce Irsfeld, who has started three of his four years on the varsity team. Irsfeld played an important role in the Tigers' closest wins this season, scoring 28 points against Long Prairie-Grey Eagle and 24 against Verndale.
