Wayzata at Orono
7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 1

Senior Hannah Heiring hopes to bring Wayzata a winning record after the program has gone through a rough few years.

Heiring averaged 14.3 ppg for the Trojans last season, the only player to regularly score in double figures. To improve on a 12-16 record, Wayzata needs to discover other scorers on the team.

Orono is a Class 3A power and rightfully ranked No.1 to start the season after Park Center's move to Class 4A.

The Spartans, who finished third in the state tournament last season, get junior Tori Andrew and seniors Meghan Mandel and Danielle Jorgenson back, who all averaged better than 11.0 ppg last season.
