Shakopee at Edina
7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4

Shakopee has been impressive the last two years, finishing third in the Class 4A state tournament twice.

However, Edina has had the Sabers' number as the Hornets have won the last four matchups.

Edina won a high scoring 87-75 game on Dec. 13, as well as a low scoring affair 51-49 two seasons ago, and the Hornets (2-0) are off to a good start this season with victories over White Bear Lake (69-32) and North St. Paul (73-61).

No. 10-4A Shakopee defeated Woodbury 91-81 in its season opener as Booker Coplin (26 points), Steffon Mitchell (22), Drew Hanbury (14) and Garrett Mitchell (13) all hit double figures in the scoring column.

Players to watch for Edina are junior guard Walt McGrory (21.5 ppg), senior guard Will Moreton (16.5 ppg) and sophomore guard Anders Nelson (13 ppg).
