St. Croix Lutheran at St. Thomas Academy
7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4

St. Croix Lutheran had one of the best seasons in school history last year, placing third in the Class 2A state tournament and finishing with a 30-3 overall record

The Crusaders' worst loss that year was a 72-53 defeat to St. Thomas Academy in the second regular-season game, and they get a chance to avenge it this week when they face the Cadets on the road.

Both teams cruised to wins in their season openers, with No. 3-2A St. Croix Lutheran topping New Life Academy 65-39 and St. Thomas Academy defeating Holy Family Catholic 66-54.

The Crusaders got a big performance from the backcourt duo of Ade Murkey and Aage Rovney, who combined for 43 points.
