St. Croix Lutheran at St. Thomas Academy

St. Croix Lutheran had one of the best seasons in school history last year, placing third in the Class 2A state tournament and finishing with a 30-3 overall record. 

The Crusaders' worst loss that year was a 72-53 defeat to St. Thomas Academy in the second regular-season game, and they get a chance to avenge it this week when they face the Cadets on the road.

Both teams cruised to wins in their season openers, with No. 3-2A St. Croix Lutheran topping New Life Academy 65-39 and St. Thomas Academy defeating Holy Family Catholic 66-54. 

The Crusaders got a big performance from the backcourt duo of Ade Murkey and Aage Rovney, who combined for 43 points.
