St. Paul Johnson at Cretin-Derham Hall
7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5

After several weeks of practice, No. 5-3A St. Paul Johnson kicks off its regular-season schedule in earnest with three games this week, including a matchup against Cretin-Derham Hall on Saturday.

The Governors ended last year taking second in the Class 3A tournament and finished with a 27-4 overall record. One of their losses came against the Raiders in an 88-83 shootout.

Cretin-Derham Hall's defense keyed its 58-37 season-opening victory over Minneapolis Washburn. Jordan Ammons, the team's top returning scorer, scored a game-high 19 points in the contest.
