Champlin Park at Robbinsdale Armstrong

Graduated guard JT Gibson was a big part of Champlin Park's success the past two seasons, with the Rebels' all-time scoring leader earning himself Minnesota's Mr. Basketball honors his senior year.

Champlin Park coach Mark Tuchscherer has his work cut out for him as he searches to replace such a top-notch talent.

Junior guard McKinley Wright could make that job easier. He averaged 13.8 points per game last year and is the top returning scorer for the Rebels, ranked No. 6 in Class 4A by Minnesota Basketball News. Junior center Theo John (8.8 ppg) is also back, and both players were starters last season.

Robbinsdale Armstrong is looking to replace its top three scorers from last season's squad but may have not have to search too long following the emergence of two players in the Falcons' 83-65 season-opening loss to Wayzata. Sophomore forward Race Thompson scored a team-high 21 points and senior guard Jubie Alade added 16.
